Microsoft Business Applications Podcast

Enjoyable, Informative, Entertaining

Mark Smith’s (aka NZ365guy) podcast is the ‘go to’ media for all things Microsoft Business Applications.

Twice a week Smith produces interviews with a variety of people either within Microsoft or working with the Power Platform. His friendly, relaxed, yet knowledgeable style feels more like a chat down the pub rather than a stuffy corporate meeting. This puts his guests at ease and allows the conversation to flow.

The show’s content is as varied as anything from fellow Microsoft MVPs’ journeys to receiving the elusive moniker, to what will Microsoft’s Power Platform landscape look like in 10 years.

There are other great podcasts in the business applications space, most notably Gus Gonzalez’s CRM MVP, that are of excellent quality, yet Smith’s podcast is the far off leader due to it’s production quality, level of research, mix of guests, relevance of content, and interview approach. One difference between the other podcasts and this one is the others are solely dedicated to providing information about Microsoft’s products, and there is nothing wrong with this as that’s why we’re listening to them in the first place; yet Smith’s podcast offers a little bit more than Microsoft’s products, he talks about career journeys and the soft skills that provide an extra layer of benefit to its listeners.

To summarise, this is my favourite tech podcast and one of my favourite podcasts overall. Smith continues to keep giving and giving to the community, all at the cost of his own time and effort, for nothing more than our enjoyment, information and entertainment. A finely crafted podcast of the highest quality.
