[mark]: cool

[khoa]: moved here i just moved here to island just front year in island

[mark]: wow

[khoa]: exactly one year in island

[mark]: oh well so how have you fined the because if you've moved there and you've been there one year you moved in the pandemic while a pandemic

[khoa]: yes

[mark]: was

[khoa]: that's

[mark]: on right

[khoa]: yes that's correct yeah

[mark]: wow

[khoa]: that's

[mark]: well

[khoa]: it was

[mark]: that

[khoa]: tough eh

[mark]: i bet i bet man take my head off to you that's legendary before we go let me just get something i want to find out your background because you um you know ventnarmhas been on my raider for a long time a very interested

[khoa]: oh really

[mark]: in your country and people yeah i worked for a company a while ago and we had two hundred and fifty resources in vina we had done

[khoa]: oh wow

[mark]: acquisition and and we had a team of two hundred fifty odd staff in at nam and i always was hoping that i'd get to go there then the entire part of the organization got sold and i was like tell me tell me about first of all tell me about what you do when you are not doing buzaps when you're not traveling from arm to ireland tell me about what you do for fun what do you do for entertainment tell us a bit about your family and your favorite food

[khoa]: okay so i'm married further up to beautiful kates here

[mark]: nice

[khoa]: for fun i don't really have anything too much exciting i love to hang out with friends and going out with my family have quelle quality time for my family

[mark]: yes

[khoa]: take my kid to the part and go while shopping nothing fancy but yeah i enjoy that very much and food i'm still getting used to food here in ireland there's a lot of different in taste compared to compared to what we have in venom so but i love i love food asian food in general love food i missed with me and i love asian so i try to look for asian food

[mark]: yes

[khoa]: he here in ireland and but i do enjoy some irish this just as well yeah and that's that's it

[mark]: when i when i was in island i was on a tour bus in dublin and the coach driver so an irish person said this joke that i'm going to tell you and you can decide they use it and he asked has anyone had a seven course irish dinner of course nobody had had a seven course irish dinner and he said it is potatoes and a six pack of gines so because their love of ginnis right are you are you are you located in dublin or are you outside dublin where you located

[khoa]: outside the plane just twenty minutes away

[mark]: nice so you just take a train there or you are you close to the microsops office

[khoa]: no no i used trying to go to the office but since i came here i just woke from home which is not too bad in my opinion not too bad

[mark]: yeah yeah tell us about first of all i want to find how did you get a job in ireland tell us about that well the pandemic izon tell us about how that worked out for you how did it come about

[khoa]: okay so when i so frost i started not not with damiccrm but with with s plus plus at the beginning at a developer and then i got a job i developed um

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: an application on mobile and then then i want to change my path from s plus plus to something else something randy which is mobile development and then i apply for a job and i got in a late being our sousing company in indiana and m and i got in and but unfortunately i don't have any project yet so i was put on and and then m that's mean i need to wait and then while i'm waiting i need to lose some research some p c projects and then i got an opportunity to learn channing court to learn diemicsmback then and then i stuck with with it i enjoy it and i stuck with it and then i change change to the different company which is also an also sing company and then i do a lot up pent in the

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: m online and then the the say a company a partner the mike ompany and then that that's the way it started so the partner like what what i did what i offer him i did a lot of development then but i don't have any idea that that i can work for them so not the least storm technology back then so i just join different projects and then i moved to another company for one year or more not in contact with storm and and then i got i got a message storm okay hey we meet we looking for develop you want to join ah of course yeah

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: i love to i know i know storm before and then i started with working from from from vina remotely because yeah and then they finally offer a full time job and then i can move to ireland so

[mark]: wow

[khoa]: when yeah when they offered when they offered the two to to to the phone time job in t was

[mark]: no

[khoa]: late twenty twenty so that was when everything started and then m not ten

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: yea twenty nineteen or some twenty twenty year and then um i need to wait for my for my employment permit

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: and visa and then everything get delayed because of ovid situation and then

[khoa_]: finally after one year of waiting i moved to island

[mark]: wow this this is a good story that's a good story because i know many many people that have a similar background to what you talked about right there there in an off shore or outsourcing company working for and they they they can't see how they could transfer to another location et cetera but you have given a great sor about how you've done it and in a troubled time right with

[khoa]: yes

[mark]: massive barriers

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: like covid and of course getting your visa

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: in place but obviously you had showen that you had skills that they wanted and i think that's an interesting thing because i always find when people have got some great skills and they're really good at it good companies will find them right and give them

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: an opportunity to work and you know and i think that that's so amazing and you've obviously become an m v p as well so you've transitied there and now you're becoming v p how did you get on the now on the let's say the nvprador how did you get discovered who who put you up phenomenation and how was that v p process for you

[khoa]: okay so back then when when i when i was

[mark]: no

[khoa]: doing a lot of development

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: in the asousin company so i there there are not many text and then we see a ram back then in vina um and then it's hard to look

[mark]: okay

[khoa]: for any resources to learn or to train to to figure out some problem within within the system

[mark]: just

[khoa]: and i always

[mark]: always

[khoa]: reach out to international four room michrosop for room and different places

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: and i think that okay why

[mark]: right

[khoa]: why don't we have anything in vina in vinamis and basically a community so we can discuss we can she acknowledge that's where that that's when i started to think about and then there's another guy a senior who toted um with with com four was on four which is earlier than me so i happened to meet him then we have the same idea and then we started to okay bring in our connections set up met up off lying back there but with just just a group of lelaps and then we don't really have any agenda or any organizer popery things yet faded and then and then when i actually have more opportunity when when when the coved came and then i have more time on line and i can i think we can set up on line meeting instead of because it was hard to get everyone's in off line location so okay so why don't we set up online meeting on line and then that's that's when that's when i started back in twenty nine team um i started stepping up on line meeting and then set up speakers so as first we i i am the speaker and the other guy the other guys are the speaker only so and then i invite that more people to join as packers and then we can the community rose we have community on onfanonfacebook so the community roles everything get involved and then um let rectify becomes more popular in vine and then we can we now have more people joining in yeah the the in spirit and i got from a guy from from as an in applications come community so he's from singapore another one from a highland another one from philip pin and everyone melas and everyone in asians community group there so i got inspired by him so why don't he suggested why don't you started everything in mine like what we did here with with different countries with different communities here so that's that's that's that's that's the um this starting point for me so i set up everything and then and then yeah just keep doing it keep sharing keep keep everything going more than until now so then i finally

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: got the m p so

[mark]: okay

[khoa]: a bone from from highland she she is a

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: market employe so she nominated me and yeah

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: and i got m v p

[mark]: this this is an epic story i love this story because correct me if i'm wrong you ran all your virtual user groups you ran them

[khoa]: yes

[mark]: venoms right

[khoa]: yes yes

[mark]: fantastic you know get questioned a lot from people that don't speak english as their first language around do i need to do all my contributions and english do i need to is that the model i need to use and i'm like no you should do it in

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: your native language for so that more people in the community of where you're located and i think what you've done in vietnam is like a tin plate that could be applied all over the world i think it's absolutely amazing that you've done that and so really really well done and and i love that it's just such a good story it's an exciting story to me i mean while you were saying in my mind i'm like you know i want to get out of map and go which country in the world doesn't know about the power platform and dynamic three six five and can i find people in those countries that you know that word that

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: you know maybe are using it but not like got a community together because i think the community of just like you in your own country your own origins et cetera is so so important in your own language right and bring all the rich culture that you have to it i think that's amazing so i take it that you're still heavily involved with that even though that you're in ireland now

[khoa]: yes i'm still yeah i'm heavily involved so i want to grow community in it so yeah so i keep contributing so there there's a team in it some guys i'm helping me now with

[mark]: now

[khoa]: the organizing events on like events now so i can focus on something else yea so i'm looking for i'm looking to nominating

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: other guys in them in invinminom community is who is helping me so i hope we can have another n v p in with nam

[mark]: i love it

[khoa]: maybe this year

[mark]: i love it tell me about power at portals are you spending a lot of time now in portals specifically

[khoa]:

yeah yeah so yeah i spend a lot of time in port now so lately in the past few months i am working on porthos a lot

[mark]: no

[khoa]: so i kind of like it so i walked with a studio before

[mark]: yes

[khoa]: so which

[mark]: yes

[khoa]: is

[mark]: yes

[khoa]: which

[mark]: yes

[khoa]: is an advantage for me so

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: and

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: i can and now i can

[mark]: now

[khoa]: i can apply what i have learned and then i can do it for real now

[mark]: real

[khoa]: so

[mark]: i love it

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: i love it that's that's so cool i'm so impressed that you you know your whole story your journey is amazing so are you

[khoa]: so

[mark]: re you also doing a from a blog perspective use you know you obviously doing

[khoa]: oh

[mark]: a lot from a events perspective with your community what about blogging

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: and things like that

[khoa]: blocking not so much so i block block at first when i started up locking blocking i answer questions on our four room but it's not so i moved my focus from from blocking to organizing event to connecting

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: people meeting

[mark]: i love it

[khoa]: people so now i have i have more time to to focus on blocking or maybe building something in for the community now because we already have a team to the care of organizing eve now so i'm looking for building maybe

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: p c f control which is

[mark]: lovely

[khoa]:

i'm also working of working on that um and also maybe blocking about porto so so

[mark]:

nice nice

[khoa]:

i'm trying to i'm trying to apply modern front and development into intoparaporto so i'm doing type script development so applying some modern front and frame work like tail win um m and yeah we combine that with the arabs trapped so

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: we can have something better is that a araboxlone so you lee

[mark]: yeah yeah

[khoa]: with

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: out box we don't have much interrupt u u u you need to do a lot of custom so so with

[mark]: yeah yeah

[khoa]: the help of types and and in modern seas friend work like tail winds we can have something more or fancy

[mark]: i like it i like it tell me about the last three projects that have involved portal don't tell me the company names but tell me kind of what type of industries were they in and why did they need the portal

[khoa]: okay so one is the there's one relating to the service in court so like jury jury service

[mark]: yes yes yes yes

[khoa]: so where you where they can send a jury summons and then

[mark]: okay

[khoa]: the citizen can lock into porto and then reply to the summons

[mark]: i like it

[khoa]: last one and then another one is what is it how can i say that's a recycling um company so which which allow

[mark]: now

[khoa]: law partners or members to submit their statistics term of

[mark]: got you

[khoa]: materials they need to recycle so that that's interesting so that those are very very there's heavy customization importa because one one is heavy informant because that's citizen you re a lot of heavy in x and the other one is heavy in musing it because there are a lot of numbers which need to be calculated correct and a lot of filiation so yeah

[mark]: what what was the authentication method you used in the citizen scenario are you just letting folks authenticate via you know you know facebook

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: would linked in anything like

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: that or set up their own email address

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: specifically how are you handling that or using or can you because i'm not familiar yet with a zoo uh active directory when it comes to for a bit c are you using that model at all

[khoa]: now now we are using local ortification so we have

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: we can have we can set up the in number so basically it's a password

[mark]: yeah yeah very cool

[khoa]: we can call it pen number and then we can include it included in the jury someone letter which

[mark]: yes

[khoa]: which is sent out to the citizen so they can

[mark]: i love it

[khoa]: look with the pins ned to set up they don't need to set up anything they don't need to

[mark]: yeah

[khoa]: figure around how to facebook how to

[mark]: awesome

[khoa]: google yeah

[mark]: awesome i'm glad i asked you that question because i just learned something very important the that's that's brilliant well it's been

[khoa]: well

[mark]: so good to have you on the show can you pronounce your

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: name for me again because i haven't nailed it

[khoa]: yeah that's

[mark]: excellent

[khoa]: yeah

[mark]: it's been it's been such a pleasure to have you on the show you you are the type of an individual that really excites me about the possibility of this community and i've been in here a while but i am so impressed with your story thank you so much for sharing it

[khoa]: Alright thanks for having me
